The Dare Society is open to anyone with an interest in preserving North Carolina's cultural heritage: her music, art, literature, politics, sports, cuisine, industry, education and religion. The Society is not about trying to go back to the "old days"; it is merely a group of folks who hope to preserve and celebrate the many unique aspects of North Carolina. It is not a political organization. It should remain open to all people -- even those who didn't have the good fortune of being born in North Carolina.
