It's in kind of a suburban setting off Wendover Ave. near Friendly Shopping Center (for those that know G'boro.) I hope we see more "green" design in commercial buildings and incorporated by home builders. I feel that it adds to the prestige and increases the desirablilty. With the housing market in the tank in many markets I feel there could be a premium for eco-friendly homes.TSnowhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10256973504038554419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26425248.post-85045051563507086342008-07-30T07:15:00.000-07:002008-07-30T07:15:00.000-07:00So ... are you saying Carolina WON'T finish second...So ... are you saying Carolina WON'T finish second or State WON'T finish last? Initially, this seems to happen. YOu see this all the time. The most "snapshotty" example I always think back to is the folks on Ocracoke Island. It is true that the first generation of folks who grew up with mass communications, a rise in tourism and an influx saw their "culture" (mainly their unique language) decline. However, their children are intent on preserving it. In fact, the converse has happened -- people speaking with an increased brogue than their parents.

In the 1950s, Americans really believed that TV would cause everyone to speak with a Midwestern accent (ie, "no" accent). That never happened. SO, don't fret. Yes, your kids will probably grow up to hate barbecue. But their kids will probably prefer killing the hogs themselves!M. We could be voted the worst place to live in America, and no one would want to live here or do business here, and our economy would grind to a halt.

Change is the only constant, I guess.James C.http://www.blogger.com/profile/04387000359358815749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26425248.post-23234097769587013602008-05-16T08:50:00.000-07:002008-05-16T08:50:00.000-07:00Long live 'cue!Long live 'cue!M.
